Blink Blink... Crummy Eyes...

Some determinations are failed. No. They are not. They are just meant to be failed. Obviously, they are stricken out.

1- Read more. [But at least I've done with Shopaholic & Baby! teehee]
2- Cut down drinking coffee and junk foods.
2- Cut back on expense.

I've been sitting at desk with many freaking works to do, mails to be sent, approvals to be confirmed. But now I'm doing nothing. I'm writing this post instead, just to moan my blah blah bitty blah. RIGHT NOW, I'm in mood of going out and enjoy seeing the world outside since I've been only staying in office and home. But haha, I'm going to have VN lunch at Derm Champa with Bong Bong soon and gonna hang around for hours, then get back to stick with those papers till 8pm or 9pm I guess. Denith informed me that all 5steps members are going to gather tomorrow at 5h30pm at Sovanna. And I missed it again. Sorry.

There are works at office needed to be finalized and new to be started. At home, there are some translations to be finished as it due and NOW a new 30 pages comes again! Oh man, phew! phew! How could I possibly finish it by deadline? They come together at once and I don't know how to make time out of it. But that's not the problem at all, the major thing is MY CRUMMY EYES ARE IN A BAD SITUATION. I don't know how to soothe it away.

It makes me get to feel how hard Pa used to be. How he cannot be able to read the book he wants. This is how health plays the important role for any human life. Now it's getting to happen to me, so he strictly and firmly said, "No reading, no staying long time in front of computer! Esp. NO READING! If you don't want to live yourself with regret!"

I frequently have to squeeze my eyes very hard. And most of time, I blink, blink and blink. Spontaneously. I didn't notice, but they did, even my both brothers. They said it's gonna become my bad habit of keeping blinking all the time. They said I look so STUPID, like a real nerd, when I blink my eyes so often. But what can I do? If I don't, I hardly keep my eyes open.

This time Pa is really serious about my eyes. He also said, "You also cannot start your school too! It's OK, you can suspend it more months. Just try to relax your eyes before it's TOO LATE! Don't be like ME! Btw, when will you be able to see doctor again? Must be this weekend! No later than sooner!" and I said, "Umm, soon, I guess! Look, I have a lot of works to do as well as those translations. So maybe on 1st?", he said, "I'm SURE you WILL SAY this, you will say you need to finish your work due to deadline and all that jazz! And Why don't just deny to do those translation?", I tried to find a reasonable excuse, but there's no use, so I ended up by saying, "Yeah, I suppose. It's the end of the week already; as you know, I have to finalize those works. And those translation, I've accepted it already. I didn't want to get those works too, but I just want to learn, you know? Try to translate as much as I can. who know? your daughter would become a professional one someday, though I don't like!", He said, "It's up to you. But tell you again, be aware of it, otherwise, you will regret for the rest of you life. And one more thing, it doesn't take you more than 1 hour to see doctor, does it? No more excuse, let's go this Sunday!" I opened my mouth to object but then closed. I knew that my Jom tors kmean proseth pheap!

Well, you cannot neither come up with any excuse with your Dad nor your Mum. Because the problem is, for the best or worst of you, they KNOW you very CLEARLY.

Ai, Gotta go now.

It was just before dark we jumped in the car driving back home. It was raining and I wished I could have ice-cream to feel myself frozen.
It was raining.
I don't like raining as I used to do. I wish it would stop, but the entire best thing we only can do when it's raining is to let it rain. However, there is really no such thing as bad weather if it just drizzled with some gleaming beads to refresh the summer heat.

Sometimes, raining makes me see myself as a child again. Whenever we were along the way back from town, and when the rain was pouring down, and when there were cows on the road, and they swerved to the left... my heart skipped a beat and scared me to death. Frequently, Pa asked, "Do you know what the difference between cows and dogs when they’re walking along the road?"

And every now and then, I like asking my brothers and my cousins this question.

Good books, good friends, good family and a sleepy conscience: this is the ideal life!

Most of time you utterly feel exhausted with the days you are going through! Without noticing, you're just letting time to slip by, just like you're flipping through the book without reading anything. Everyday, there are loathsome things you wish you haven't been through, but you have, and it's going to be continued. Now you just realized that you hate the state of getting older. The more you're growing older, the more your mental getting feebler and flabbier, just as your physical. So, it's like living and learning to feel less.

But if you look at the bright side and if you sum up everything you've learned about life, you would realize that Life goes on! and have to keep telling yourself that DO NOT QUIT! You have everyone at home to make you feel warm, you have very few good friends who keep you company and you have few good books to enjoy at night so that you can avoid thinking of any complicated things you got from works, from life, which it's obviously not complicated at all. So what's more? This is the ideal of your life you're always happy about!

So, I determined to be back on track; to get myself back again. Which I'm not sure how many percentage I can do it. Let's try first.

Therefore, there's some two-bit determination to be set, that I don't know if it would be failed again. But, set it anyway.

1- Read more.
2- Write more.
3- Work more.
4- Have to stick with learning to cook.
5- Cutting down on drinking coffee and junk foods.
6- Prevent own self from being on fire, from being too extremely excited and too extremely sad.
7- Determine to spend more time with family. Cuttings back on too much expense, instead, determine to bring grandma and mum to go out more often and bring more good foods for grandma.
8- Get back to smile! Smile! Smile! Be happy and Don't worry!
9- Learn everything from this abstract life everyday!
10- Learn to find balance!

This evening, after work, I went to find more books to read, and I got some more now. I found a book titled The writer's book of wisdom-101 rules for mastering your craft by Steven Taylor Goldensberry which is a very nice to read, even the heart-felt designs are colorful, which I don't want to read so that I can keep it new.

I'm inspired to read my Khmer books again after listening to Pa, Uncle and his wife telling me about Khmer culture and history on the way back to PP. I realized that I lack much of general knowledge and knowing that I have to remember back some from those Khmer books. But, let's see how much I can read and remember those things with my rotten memory.

Another thought to be thought: Why do I need to learn English and forget about Khmer? So reading Khmer books must be included in my goal also.

The best must be saved for the last to talk about!

What I mean is, Yay! I own Shopaholic & Baby! I was thinking of swapping with Nathary, but now so how Nathary? I've got it already? lolz

Just like other girl, I'm really crazy over this Shopaholic series. Not that I'm a shopaholic, I hate shopping, but I just love the witty writing style of this series. Well, btw, I have not yet watched Confession of Shopaholic movie! But this is not the time for watching TV, but reading. So later.

Actually, this evening, I supposed to look for Everything is illuminated by Jonathan Safran Foer and other books of Haruki Murakami which is about metaphor, but I couldn't find one of them. However, by getting Shopaholic & Baby by Sophie Kinsella, I don't mind. lolz.

Nonetheless, it has to be the last to read, since I've not yet finished other tree books I'm currently reading now. [Okay, let's try to compress your impulsiveness of reading it!!]

Passion Flower

I determined to write the review of every single book I read, but I don't think I would make it possible due to some facts. So I decided to write only book which I think it's worth to be written down. Now I've just done with reading few children books. But some of them were not interesting at all. However Passion Flower by Jean Ure is exceptional.


Passion Flower is all about family disaster and the realization of how the true feeling and the reason why their mother threw the frying pan at their Dad and they live separate.

The 14-years-old girl, Stephanie, the elder sister who tries to look matured than her real age and always stays on her Mum's side. She is a reliable girl who is constantly worrying about what her mother will say if she steps out of the line, while her little sister, The Afterthought or Samantha, who is only 10 years old, always start up the fight with them over her Dad. It's because everything Sam requests him, he always say YES, while her mother always firmly says NO, no matter how she nagged, begged and howled and pleaded.

But the thing they don't know is, their Dad is a real pain who always got her Mum into trouble and she had copped with their Dad for sixteen years of clearing up his messes, getting themselves out of the trouble he got them into. And she's had enough of that. But for Samantha, she always thought that it's all her Mum's fault.

However, everything was distinct enough for them to see the real of their Dad after their Mum sent them to live with him for a whole summer. No rules, no hassle and no worries are what both of them respect, but on contrary, everything turned out to be a big disaster for Steph and Sam. However, it helped them to discover that there's a lot more of being a family.

They realized that their Dad constantly likes fooling around, never take thing seriously and he's not reliable, what he only can do is only "Talking" and "Promising" but never get things done by what he said, and only permanently being the one who is irresponsible, moreover, he always turn his back on trouble.

They're back to their Mum after their Dad strode off with his case of money, leaving both of them on their own at Airport. Both of them came back home with to live with their same old past with a lot of rules, hassles and worries, but they feel peace, safe and sound.

It's a perfect story for all typical teens to read about the typical life of family, how hard it is to be a mum, and how family is meant to be, regard with the rules, hassles, worries and all that jazz.
